SHAUN KITCHENER
Director
Shaun has been principle of Spotlight since its conception
in July 2005. He co-produced 2006's Sixth Form Revue at Knights
Templar, writing and performing in a series of comedy sketches. He
is currently with two amateur societies, and
performed in school productions "Oh What A Lovely War" and "Anything Goes". He participated in productions of "Wind In
The Willows" and "South Pacific" and "Pirates of
Penzance" this year; "My Fair Lady" is to follow in May, as well as "High School
Musical" next February.
DEAN
SAYER Musical Director
Dean is studying for a BTEC in Musical Theatre, and has a number of prestigious
credits to his name, including a lead role in a County production of "Great Expectations", and being cast in the Young
Arcadians production of "High School Musical"... as Troy!!
Earlier this year he earned a principle part in "Wind In The
Willows", and scored highly as Jack Worthing in his A-Level
performance of "The Importance of Being Earnest". He has
participated in three productions at the Gordon Craig Theatre -
"Oliver!" (2006), "South Pacific" (2007), and "Pirates of Penzance"
(2007). "My Fair Lady" is to follow in 2008.
NICCI
LAWRENCE Vocal Coach
Nicci has been singing all her life, and this has lead her
to countless performances with the school choirs and solo
performances with a Big Band. She has taken part in numerous school
productions, most recently "Anything Goes" and "Oh What A Lovely
War", as well as an acclaimed role with a society in Twickenham.
Nicci has also recorded vocals for a company which produces karaoke
tracks, and is an accomplished dancer. Like Dean, Nicci has her own
music profile on MySpace.
MARK FINCH
Costume and Stage Manager/Co-Producer
Mark has been with Spotlight since day one. He performed in lead roles in "Honk!", "Oliver!", and
"Anything Goes" in 2006 alone, and also performed in shows
such as the Noda Award-winning "Bugsy Malone". Mark is eyeing up a
career in Musical Theatre, but had a TV appearance as an extra in
ITV1 drama "Tom Brown's Schooldays", starring Stephen Fry. In
February 2007 he took the lead role of Ratty in the Young Arcadians
production of "Wind In The Willows", attracting rave reviews from
the local press.
NATALIE
CAUGHTRY Choreographer
Nat joined Spotlight as choreographer for "Guys and Dolls Jr" in
July 2007. She began dance lessons at the age of three, and has
since been in four dance shows at the Gordon Craig Theatre in
Stevenage. She was due to participate in "Strictly Stratton" at her
school in Biggleswade, but unfortunately the event was pulled at the
last minute. Since last year she has been teaching with the dance
school she has been attending, and is currently in her second year
of study for her A-Level Dance qualification.

Frances Balmer
(Jun 05 - Apr 07) Frances is well known for her musical
abilities. At 16 she won a major BBC composing award and studies at
a highly acclaimed and famous music school in London, as well as
attending a prestigious A-Level institution, Hills Road, in
Cambridge.
Paris Cesvette (Jun 05 - Mar 07) Paris sings with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra in
London, is a member of the Knights Templar Senior Chamber Choir, and
at 15 she formed and directed a Gospel Choir at the school. Paris
co-produced this year's sixth form revue and had a leading role in
the most recent school production "Anything Goes". Paris is
currently working on projects which could potentially take her
singing career to the next level.
Lydia Alden (Sept 06 - Feb
07)

By far the youngest member of Spotlight staff in our history, Lydia has
already made a big name for herself in dance. She dances with the
acclaimed local dance academy Pineapple. She choreographed "Beauty
School Dropout" for our production of "Grease", which was labelled
by many as one of the show's slickest numbers.
Chloe Morley (Sept 06 - Feb 07) Since joining Spotlight in
September 2006, Chloe became a favourite with the company and staff
alike. A talented artist, Chloe is currently studying at Hitchin
College.
Emma Venables (Sept 06 - Oct 06) Dramatic fanatic Emma had
participated in numerous school productions and achieved a
spectacularly high mark in her GCSE Drama course.
Helena Dean (Jan 06 - Feb 06) Helena has recently achieved a
Grade 8 Singing qualification, and has been part of her choir for
some time now. She had a principle role in the Knights Templar
School's production of "Anything Goes", and for a short while
co-taught our Dance Drama class here at Spotlight. |
